Former employee data via API

The current API does not return leave request data for former employees. I need to continue to retrieve leave request data for my former employees for at least 1 pay cycle AFTER they become a former employee, but preferably for as long as they exist in the system as a former employee until after they are archived.

Ideally I want to retrieve data for all my employees in a single request so if there is a new URL parameter added to achieve this then I would like it if it was NOT a boolean, rather an enum e.g. employeeStatus = [Active, Former, All]
