Ability to make the reason for a request a non-mandatory field

At our company, we do not wish to require a reason when an employee submits a leave request, however, the reason field is currently mandatory.

We would like to avoid collecting and holding data on our employees that is not required.

Thanks for your suggestion.

It is actually possible to change this - you can do it on the Team profile. Just go to Organization > Teams > Leave Settings > Require Reason? - untick this box.
