Request cancellation workflow

It would be helpful if employees could either submit a modification to an existing leave request, or submit a new request that overlaps with a request that is pending cancellation. If I want to edit the dates of a vacation, I have to cancel the vacation, wait for the cancellation to be approved, then resubmit and have it reapproved.
I would like to follow this with a request option to change the cancellation procedure. My managers do not want to approve or receive cancellation requests. They would like them to be automatically accepted and removed on their calendar. There is no need for managers to approve these requests.
