Leave taken at a specified date

Currently, if I ran a report to specify leave taken between 1st Jan 2022 & 30th June 2022 and someone requested leave starting on e.g. 30/06/2022 and ending on 07/07/2022, this is a period of 6 working days, but only one of those days occurred in our reporting period of 1 January to 30 June and so only one day from that request should be included on the report. It doesn’t seem possible to achieve this as all 6 days are included in the exported report.

It would be great if the system is able to calculate the days that fall in the period reported and not dates outside of it to avoid needing to manually adjust the data on the exported report.
