Appogee Goals: Goals Configuration

Appogee Goals has currently been released to early adopters, please get in touch if you're interested in finding out more.

Some specific configuration is required to control the default sharing of information in Appogee Goals and who in the organisation is able to do what. Users with the Goal Manager roles have access to the Goals Configuration menu.

Enabling access to Appogee Goals

User access is controlled in the same way as self service access is controlled for Appogee Leave and Appogee HR.

Go to Roles & Access > Tick the box in the Goals column. For all employees you give access to, a new item will appear in their navigation menu.

Configuring Appogee Goals

Some specific configuration is required to control the default sharing of information in Appogee Goals and who in the organisation is able to do what.

Go to Process Config > Goals Configuration. You'll see config is split into 4 sections - Creation & Approval Goal Visibility, Key Results Formats and Tasks.

Creation & Approval

It's possible to determine which user roles can create and approve Goals in Appogee Goals. There are various combinations you can have of these, and they're split into Goal types. Company Goals, Team Goals and Personal Goals.

Goal Visibility

A user can have access to view and Shout-out on a Goal if they are on the Collaborator list. It's also possible to Check-in on Goals, if you enable the Check-in setting at the point of sharing the Goal. The Goal Visibility section of the Goals Configuration page allows you to determine the Visibility of Goals for non-collaborators.

Key Results Formats

By definition, Key Results are quantitative and measurable; they need to be associated with a metric. Select which formats should be made available in Appogee Goals to assign to your Key Results.

Tasks

Optionally, you can associate Tasks with your Goals. Use this page to switch these on/off on a Goal level. Associate Status Sets with your tasks so you can keep a track of the process of these.
