annual leave year / sickness year run from/to different dates

In our Us businesses we have an issue where an employees annual leave runs from April to March but they also have a number of sick days that run from Jan to Dec

At the moment the sick leave needs to run in line with the employee's annual leave. 

Would it be possible to have some flexibility here.
