Things to do on your Trial

Welcome to your Appogee HR trial - we're excited that you're here and can't wait to help you streamline your HR and people operations! 

We've put together this guide to help give you some pointers on what to do during your 14 day free trial of Appogee HR. 

Demo Mode

We've set up a separate version of Appogee HR that contains pre-populated demo data. This will show you what the system could look like when it's completely set up so you can explore all the features of Appogee HR with some example information.

You can log into Demo Mode using different demo employees - these are set up with different user roles so you'll be able to experience using the system with different access levels to understand what others will have access to. 

You can log into Demo Mode using the button in the toolbar at the top of the screen, or clicking the Demo Mode button from the Trial Home Page.

Leave Setup

In order for you to get started with our absence management system - our Leave module - you'll need to go through the set up process first. We've created a handy tool which takes you through this process, giving you the ability to set your Leave Allowance and Working Rota which ultimately creates what we call a Work Profile.

In order to get started, just go to Leave from the left side menu.

While a lot of organisations have more than one leave allowance, working pattern or even public holidays (employees working full time, part time, compressed hours etc), this first step is just to create the most common profile in your organisation. You can come back to create the other options later. 

Please take your time to read the information on the page - it's important you understand why we are asking for each of the following elements: 

  • Your Leave Start Month (the month your holiday calendar starts on)
  • Your weekly working rota (the days and hours your employees work)
  • How to allocate allowances (annually, accrued or both)
  • Leave Entitlements (how many hours / days your employees are entitled to)

If you're not ready to get this set up, you're welcome to log into Demo Mode and take a look at an account that has already configured the Leave module.

Trial Assistant

On various pages within Appogee HR, you'll be able to see our Trial Assistant. If you're unsure what to do next, you can click on the "Show Me How" and "Tell Me More" tabs on the right side of your screen. 

Show Me How

Clicking on this will give you key information about how you can set up the module or feature to get the best out of the Appogee HR system. 

Tell Me More

Clicking on this will give you more information about the feature or page you are looking at. 

The Assistant cards may also include a button to take you to another part of Appogee HR (for example, a configuration page) or a support document, FAQ or help video. 

Change Trial Package

The Appogee HR system is available in a number of different package options to suit different business requirements. You can try out the different packages throughout your trial so that you can be sure you choose the right option for you. 

From the Trial Home page select Change Trial Package to choose a different option.
